Andreas Goer

24th July 2018

Andreas-Hubertus Goer
On 8th July, we lost one of the doyens of the rail industry with the passing of Andreas Goer at the tragically young age of 59. Andreas founded AAE with his father Hubertus just under 30 years ago and made it into the leading lessor of freight wagons in Europe. It is now part of VTG. Andreas was not just incredibly knowledgeable about railways but was one of the true gentlemen of the industry. He was also amongst the first supporters of the Luxembourg Rail Protocol, sharing the vision which sadly he will not see realised. He will be greatly missed.
